On April 25, the annual general meeting of the Azerbaijan Engineering Academy for 2024 was held online.
AZERTAC was informed about this by the Azerbaijan Engineering Academy.
At the meeting, the president of the academy, academician Arif Pashayev, noted that currently the number of members of the Engineering Academy is 39, of which 21 are full members, 18 are corresponding members, 1 is an honorary member and 4 are foreign members.
Then, the vice-president of the academy, academician Ahad Janahmadov, provided detailed information on the work done during the reporting period. He said that during the reporting year, significant results were achieved in a number of industrial enterprises and agricultural sectors, engineering work was carried out and found application.
The Academy continues its relations with the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO) under UNESCO, of which it is a member, and participates in many of its events remotely.
A large number of books, textbooks, monographs, teaching aids, and published articles written by the members of the Academy have been published abroad and within the country.
The conferences, seminars, round tables held in the reporting year, as well as international symposiums in which the Academy participated, play an important role in the international recognition of our country.
The Academy was re-registered by the Ministry of Justice for the next 5 years, taking into account the amendments and additions to the Charter.
At the end of the general meeting, members of the academy Kamal Askarov, Bahram Aliyev, Maksim Javadov, Elchin Isganderzadeh and others made speeches, and a final decision was made.
