An event was held on the occasion of the World Engineering Day

Azerbaijan Engineering Academy and National Aviation Academy together held an event on the occasion of World Engineering Day.

The event was attended by members of the Engineering Academy, faculty deans, heads of departments, engineers and students – representatives of future engineers.

Vice-president of the Engineering Academy, academician Ahad Janahmadov, opened the event with an opening speech, and conveyed the greetings and congratulations of the President of the Engineering Academy, academician Arif Pashayev, to the participants of the event.

Then Ahad Janahmadov gave a brief introduction about “March 4 – World Engineering Day”. Then he gave a speech on “Stages of development of engineering thoughts”.

Corresponding members of the Engineering Academy spoke in the debat General Director of the Production Union, Kamal Askerov; Director of the Scientific Research Institute, Aydin Musayev; Faculty Dean, Associate Professor Nazim Nagiyev; Honored Engineer Rasim Nabiyev; Department Head, Associate Professor Islam Iskandarov; spoke on behalf of the students Sadig Zeynalzadeh, Zarifa Hajiyeva and Konul Ahmadova.

It was noted that engineering is one of the most sought-after professions in today’s job market. Celebrating this day with our students – future engineers is a great way to motivate them to become good engineers in the future, and this responsible task falls on the country’s scientists and specialists.

Taking advantage of today’s event, I would like to bring to your attention that the Academy recently adopted the “Action Concept for 2024-2030” and the “Baku Declaration”. The Academy’s Management Structure and directions of activity have been defined and new departments have been created. All the works will play a big role in the social and economic life of our country.
